A Busy Summer

August has been a very busy and successful month for Ability Consultancy. It started off with our founder, going over to Barcelona on behalf of British Athletics to support several British athletes through their international classification panel at the Cerebral Palsy World Games.

It gave Claire valuable experience of seeing an international classification and she picked up hints and tips for her role as a national Classifier and will hopefully help her to become an international classifier when the opportunity arises. The month ended with one of our team attending the UK School Games as North Team Staff for the Athletics event. They supported 47 young athletes in their first experience of a multi-sport multi-day event that is based on an Olympic Games.it was a great experience to support so many talented athletes and see first-hand how athletics is working towards being a fully inclusive sport. A well as these exciting and beneficial experiences, there has been many things going on at Ability Consultancy including planning new projects for the future, spreading the word of disability and inclusivity in Para Sport, establishing new partnerships and developing new areas of work. Watch this space for more updates in the coming week.
